Back to Work!

Labor day comes and we know it’s time to FALL back into our regular routine and get back into the gym. This September NJAC is excited to Launch a NEW Small Group Training Program (SGT), a Group Exercise schedule with NEW classes including Les Mills GRIT, and a Youth Programming schedule sure to keep the whole family fit and active. We are also eager to open the Newly renovated Pool this month. Check out all the exciting details below. In Good Health, NJAC Staff.

Group Exercise

We are thrilled to launch the Fall Group Exercise schedule on Monday, September 10th. This fall we have two exciting NEW classes! Check out the newest Les Mills class NOW at NJAC – Les Mills GRIT is a high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout designed  with short rounds of high-intensity exercise followed by periods of strategic recovery. The GRIT series of workouts includes Strength, Plyo and Cardio workouts. The secret to ultimate results is not adding more workouts to your routine, but increasing their intensity. HIIT workouts are recommended as part of a balanced training plan. Max 25 participants in this class. Workouts are 30 mins. If you are looking for a well-rounded workout with less impact check out Walk & Tone - This class allows you to choose your own "speed" of walking on our indoor track. All class members meet between walking intervals to build strength and increase flexibility with bodyweight and resistance exercise- 1 hr. The noon schedule is back in full swing with the addition of Wednesday’s RPM and Thursday’s SoulBody Barre. Be sure to check out Power Pilates back on the schedule Wednesday’s at 9:30am and an evening BodyFlow class has conveniently be moved to Tuesday’s at 6:00pm for a well-balanced workout which leaves you with the sense of strength, flexibility, balance and relaxation.

NJAC Group Exercise programs separate themselves from the rest because we take the time to celebrate our programs, our members and instructors. Mark your calendars for October 20th when we celebrate the latest in group exercise with our Les Mills 4th quarter New Releases and the Launch Party of Les Mills GRIT!

PERSONAL TRAINING

NEW Small Group Training (SGT) classes are scheduled to start on Monday September 10th. This is a great way to receive quality instruction, cuing and coaching from one of our highly qualified personal trainers in a small group setting, with your friends - for a fraction of the cost of Private one on one Personal Training! UNLIMITED classes per week for Only $75 a month. Classes will be held Monday/Wednesday/Saturday – 9:30am, Tuesday/Thursday – 6:30pm, and Friday 10am. The classes will be 45 minutes and will be held on the gym floor, between the cardio equipment and the private personal training area. If your goal is to burn calories, loose excess body fat, build muscle, increase your cardiovascular efficiency or just to make new “workout” friends, SGT is for you! YOUTH PROGRAMMING

Time for the kids to Fall back into routine with exciting youth classes at NJAC. Fall 2018 Youth Programs session begins September 10th. Registration is now open, so don’t miss out; register your child for one of our action-packed youth programs at the front desk today! The Fall 2018 Group swim session is also set to begin September 10th. Be sure to check www.njac.com for any updates on the pool renovations and group swim session registration openings.

Youth programs director, Melissa Stumbaugh, will be stepping down from her position as Youth Programs Director, beginning September 1st; to pursue a career as a dive professional in Australia. “The New Jersey Athletic Club has been like a second family to me over the years. I want to say a special thank you to my amazing youth programming team. I am so fortunate to have worked with such fantastic staff members; who have worked tirelessly to help grow the aquatics and youth programming here at NJAC. I appreciate all of your hard work over the years. I also want to say thank you to all of the members, clients, and children involved in the programs.
