Rock Steady Boxing

In Your Corner

Rock Steady Boxing is a nonprofit organization focusing on giving people with Parkinson's disease hope by improving their quality of life through a non-contact boxing-based fitness curriculum. Scott C. Newman founded Rock Steady Boxing after being diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease at age 40. He did not want to succumb to the devastation of his life and physicality. So, he chose to Fight Back!

At NJAC, Rock Steady Boxing aims to provide a vigorous exercise program and communal ambiance enabling those with Parkinson's to combat the disease. Professional RSB coaches help participants enhance their quality of life with newfound strength, flexibility, and speed, which in turn increases their self-confidence. Our team of certified RSB coaches and licensed physical therapists work together to help those with the disease improve their physical and mental well-being. At Rock Steady Boxing at NJAC, we emphasize hard training along with plenty of fun and camaraderie among boxers!

This program is available Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 2:00PM to 3:30 PM in the Boxing Room.
